Brian Hingerty is a guitar player from Berkeley, California. A diverse background in jazz, rock, ska, and blues provide the foundation for Brian’s creative interpretations of American Roots Music.
At the young age of 19. Brian Hingerty is already establishing himself in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, performing at local clubs, including Oakland’s Birdland Jazzista Social Club, The Fenix, Ashkenaz, The Old Skool Café, 924 Gilman, and Bottom Of the Hill.
Brian was the Festival Youth Discovery at this year’s Sonoma-Mendocino Whale and Jazz Festival, where he performed with Yancie Taylor and Glen Pearson. He has also played with noted artists such as Chris Amberger and John Stowell. Recently, Brian has joined Simon Lunche's band and performs with Simon regularly.
Brian attended the Brubeck Institute Summer Colony in 2016, and this past year was a member of the California Jazz Conservatory combo led by Michael Zilber, and the Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble, appearing at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s Oakland, and the UC Theater Berkeley.
Brian is currently working on his first solo album and has released a single from the forthcoming album. He continues to play solo and in ensembles throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Brian is currently attending the USC Thornton School of Music where he studies guitar. Brian currently studies with Roger Love, Patrice Rushen, Bob Mintzer, and many other legendary musicians. Brian performs with ensembles in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.
